Frequently Asked Questions
The answers below cover what New Hampshire business owners ask most about managed web design, billing, and support. Send whatever we missed and you will get a straight answer from the people who do the work.
Partnerships start with a 12-month minimum, then roll month to month. After that, staying is your call: the subscription keeps your site hosted, monitored, updated, and supported for as long as you want it running. We walk through the full terms before any work begins, so you sign knowing how the arrangement works.
No. The price you pay each month covers development, hosting, unlimited content edits, 24/7 uptime monitoring, analytics reporting, and support. Work outside that scope, such as a major redesign or a complex integration, gets quoted on its own, and we wait for your approval before starting any of it.
Payments run through Stripe: we set up recurring card billing during onboarding so the charge lands on schedule without a manual step. You know what is coming and when, because the price was agreed on before development started.
Your plan includes the pages, features, and integrations we agree on before development begins. Each managed website also carries the standard package: hosting, unlimited content edits, 24/7 uptime monitoring, call, email, and form tracking reported each month, anti-spam form protection, and on-site editing. Fit depends on goals and budget, and the discovery call is where we sort that out together.
Tell us as soon as something comes up and we will adjust the plan around it. Missing content or feedback pushes the launch back, since we cannot build pages without them. When a project sits idle for a long stretch, restarting may require a fresh start plan so scheduling and budget match the work left.
Once you pass the initial 12-month commitment, the plan runs month to month, so leaving is a decision you make one month at a time. Either way, whatever you brought to the table stays yours: brand assets, domain, copy, and images. Our proprietary code and frameworks are the one thing that stay with us. Because the site runs on those as part of the subscription, ending service brings the website offline. If we manage the domain for you, we walk you through moving registration into an account you control. Should that day come, save or ask us for copies of anything you want to keep first. We would rather part on good terms than make leaving hard.
Websites go live within 2-4 weeks of kickoff when your questionnaire, content, images, and feedback arrive on time. Custom functionality can stretch that, and you get an honest timeline before work starts rather than a hopeful guess.
Yes. Our in-house designer shapes a custom web design around your business, brand, and goals rather than dropping your logo into a theme. You review actual pages as the build progresses, and we refine them until each one feels like yours. We hold launch until you love the result.
Yes. Hosting is bundled with the service, along with SSL, domain management, and 24/7 uptime monitoring that checks your site every 60 seconds. Server setup and outage troubleshooting sit on our side of the fence, which is what the subscription pays us to handle.
Yes. Registration and renewals can run through us while the domain stays the property of your business. Part ways down the road and we transfer it into your own registrar account once things settle, so your web address leaves with you.
No. We build custom-coded static websites, so there is no WordPress installation, theme, or plugin stack for you to update or troubleshoot. Routine changes fall under unlimited edits: send the request by text or email and we make the change. If you would rather fix wording yourself, on-site editing lets you do that, with our team reviewing everything before it goes live.
Hand-coding gives us full control over performance, layout, accessibility, and maintenance. There is no WordPress dashboard, no theme stack, and no row of plugins waiting for updates. You get a faster site with fewer moving parts, and we stay responsible for keeping it that way for the life of your subscription.
Every website ships with technical SEO foundations: clean heading structure, meta tags, sitemap configuration, schema markup, fast load times, and Google Search Console setup. After launch we keep refining those foundations as part of your managed service. What we will not do is promise a specific ranking or traffic number, because search engines and competition change constantly.
Send an email to hello@clearcutdigital.com or text us at +1-617-394-8715 with what you need changed. Every request is reviewed based on its size and urgency, so mark anything time-sensitive in the subject line or first message. For wording fixes you can also use on-site editing and watch the change land yourself.
Unlimited covers routine content edits: text changes, image swaps, business hours, contact information, staff updates, promotions, announcements, and link changes are all included. New pages, major layout changes, redesigns, and complex integrations get scoped separately so they can be done properly. Active clients also receive a complimentary visual refresh every three years.
Yes. Businesses grow, shift focus, add services, and rebrand, and your plan can move with them. Tell us what changed and we will adjust the scope together, whether that means new pages, new functionality, or a simpler site than you started with.
If something happens to Zack, Malena steps in and keeps communication, edits, and support moving. If something happens to her, a trusted partner in Vermont who is familiar with our systems takes over so service continues with as little interruption as possible. Your site stays online either way, since hosting and monitoring do not depend on any one person being reachable.
If you are not completely satisfied with the design and decide not to continue, we refund your payment in full and cancel the agreement, no questions asked. The guarantee covers the entire build: at any point before launch, if the design misses and you decide not to continue, the refund stands. Read the full terms on our guarantee page.
Your business owns its name, brand, domain, and every piece of content you provide. Clear Cut Digital owns the code, frameworks, and development tools behind the site, and your subscription keeps the finished website hosted and live. What you are buying is not a folder of files; it is a company staying responsible for keeping your site fast, current, and working.
We're flexible with your schedule, but to properly allocate time and best serve all our partners, we ask that you provide feedback and content within a reasonable amount of time. If a project sits for about three months, we check in, talk through what changed, and help you decide whether to continue or pause. Resuming is simple: reach out whenever you're ready and we pick up right where things left off. Depending on how long the pause lasted, that may mean an updated timeline or a fresh start plan so the remaining work gets scheduled fairly.
NO THRILL? NO BILL.
If you’re not completely satisfied with our design and decide not to continue, you’ll get a full refund and the agreement will be cancelled. No questions asked.
